Sinea Wreyford

Sinea Wreyford (pronounced Si-nay Ray-ford) is a 26 year old fine art photographer residing in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in photography and a minor in art history. She works with photographic processes, videography, and new media.

Artist Statement

Sinea’s work involves using the body as a “human sculpture” filling and interacting within its space. Common conceptual themes are demonstrating the fluidity in an ever-changing self-perception and encapsulating the playfulness in childhood. She often shows her models interacting erratically within environments that such actions would not be appropriate, often showing models climbing around on various objects and hanging from ceilings. Her video work focuses on giving her models roles to play or emotions to embody, and demonstrating them with striking or peculiar actions. Bold color and the use of a hard flash are key components in her work.
